Setting up your sanctioned competition in Cricclubs

1) After receiving permission to start setting up your competition, register a “scorer” to Cricclubs via https://cricclubs.com/finland/registerUmpire.do?clubId=41820

NB! If you enter the email address of a user already registered in another Cricclubs instance, the details will be imported to the “Cricket Finland Sanctioned Competitions” instance

2) Send the details (name, email address) of the user account in the sanctioning thread of your competition. The user will receive “Series Admin” rights to your competition.

3) The details of your competition have been defined per your request. For reference, you can find below the available configuration options (per 05/2024):

4) When you log in to https://cricclubs.com/finland with your Series Admin account, you will find your series empty. From the top menu, hover over Clubs to open the menu and select Create Team. The following screen will open:

Check that the pre-selected Series is your competition. You can then create the first team for your competition and repeat the “Create Team” -> fill in form -> Submit cycle until you have created all participating teams. You will be able to edit team details afterwards.

5) After you’ve created teams, you can create the fixtures. You can do this one at a time through “Matches” -> “Create Fixture” or as a batch through “Matches” -> “Upload Schedule”. 

Most fields in the match entry form are self-explanatory, but it’s pertinent to note that “Match Type” is used only for differentiating round-robin matches from playoffs and not including the latter in round-robin standings. 

6) When you want to populate your teams with players, navigate “Clubs” -> “View Teams” in the top menu and you will be presented with a list of the teams you’ve created. Click on the team’s name and you will be transported to the team’s profile page. 

Then click on the “Add Players” button below the team information banner and you will be prompted to enter first names, last names, and email addresses of the players. Email addresses are optional. You can copy and paste the data from e.g. a spreadsheet program.

If you designate a captain and a vice captain for a team via “Update Team”, they will get rights to add players and score matches.

7) If you want to add further competition officials, first register them via https://cricclubs.com/finland/registerUmpire.do?clubId=41820

Then send their names and email addresses to your sanctioning thread and indicate the desired access level (scorer / competition admin).
